where should i start? it's been over a month since i blogged, and honestly, i was a mess for those two weeks before spring break. lots of crap went down, and i'm going to break this month-long absence into more digestible parts.
wow. i didn't realize that my last blog came a week after i returned from cali. oh wait, i can actually believe that. soon after that blog, i found out lots of things that almost caused me a personal meltdown. but, that waited until after spring break. thank goodness. i discovered that steve cheated on me in december (the real reason why he broke up with me), and lied to me about it....not once, but twice....and that once again, i'm a f***** idiot. used and abused once more....some say that he and i are even, others sympathized with me and heavily encouraged that i kick him out of my life completely. i took a few weeks to myself to think things through, and i decided that i cannot be in a relationship with him right now. i lost a lot when he lied to me, and he has to earn all of my trust back. so, we're starting from square one, and figuring things out over the next month or so before graduation. really, i suck at life. you think i'd learn from my past....nopes, i'm too forgiving and too compassionate and i care about him too much. crap. and to make things even better, he asked for another chance because he realized that i make him happy....anywho, i'd write more, but i'm trying to work through this and understand where he's coming from, so i'm going to stop here before i come back someday, read this, and get totally pissed off at myself.
so, that crap takes me to spring break. spring break was amazing. lots of ultimate was played, lots of drinking was done, and lots of partying took place. this year, the lady pilots partied with msu and lehigh, and kris, christina, lisa, allison, jac, and i partied with richmond on thursday night (aka my birthday). i met a lot more people and reestablished past friendships....it was awesome. the lady pilots won the tournament again, and in a much less dramatic fashion than last year. we made flowers to give to other teams as spirit gifts, we danced a lot between games with christie's boom-bizzle, we played and watched a lot of ultimate, and most of all we had fun. i hung out with dan whenever i was partying with msu, i played strip-cup with the rochester women's team, i got wasted from boxed wine with christina, i didn't do anything that i regret, i took a lot of pictures, i flirted, i celebrated my 22nd birthday in style, and most of all, i enjoyed my last official spring break. this year, the majority of the lady pilots drove to atlanta to watch the guys play at terminus....it was a lot of fun, and an ingenious idea to extend spring break to its final minutes. i'd write a personal recap right now, but at the moment, i'm just trying to recap the last month, and i'm a little stressed out that i don't have the patience to write a lot more after this. pictures and a recap to come soon.
and that brings me back to boston. i'm totally unmotivated to do any work, although i did start my job search. hooray for monster.com! my first job interview is with the beacon hill staffing group on april 12. i'm planning to get into administrative work in sports or entertainment, and then go to grad school to get an mba in sports/entertainment business. we'll see how that goes, but right now, i'm really excited about this career choice. school will probably kick my butt in the next month, but i do hope to salvage something and find some motivation to push myself through my last month as an undergraduate. exciting. ooh, and i get to buy myself a suit for my interviews!
one good thing that's happen this week is the senior class' exclusive access to the new fitrec building. it's an amazing piece of work that will ooh and aah future prospective students. lots of exercising will take place in that building, and i'm excited for it. steve and i each shot 100 free throws yesterday....he made 51; i made 70. we also played two games of horse....i beat him both times. we also tossed the disc on the 3-court space. that was fun.
lastly, i've been in lots of physical pain over the past few days, and i think most of it is stress-related. i'd write about the stress i'm having, but i think i'd cause myself more stress writing and then analyzing it....so i'm not going to do it right now. i'm hoping to get everything figured out once monday comes around. until then, i'm going to lay low, try to relax, and find something happy to think about. while i'm on it, here are the things i should accomplish this weekend:
-laundry -cleaning my room -reading for class -story outline/plan for multimedia -feeling better -relax -post pictures here on the blog -watch march madness
i'm almost there. only one month of classes left. it will all be gone soon.
breathe and relax.

gotta love those ladies in black showing their stuff at rosie's birthday/cocktail party
well, well, i'm back from cali, and happy to be back. it was a great four days on the opposite side of the country....hanging out with my sister, visiting one of my best friends, and watching a little ultimate. too bad the weather wasn't better. but i'm not complaining. there was too much drama on the west coast, and it made me rethink a bunch of things that have been on my mind in the last two months. definitely more on that later.
but, if you really want to know what i was up to in cali, here's the recap: thurs 2/17: i went to class, rode the t to the airport, and hopped on a plane for l.a. changed planes in l.a. and landed in ontario, ca, at around 11:30. lori picked me up from the airport; we grabbed a bite to eat at in-and-out burger, and then drove to her dorm at the university of redlands. stayed up late chatting and hanging out; went to sleep around 3 a.m. fri 2/18: disneyland! mike (our family friend) picked lori and me up around 9:45; we hit some traffic on the way to anaheim, so we grabbed a bite to eat at burger king. made it to the happiest place on earth at noon, and george (mike's friend) got lori and i in for free. super-duper awesome! spent the day walking around disneyland and california adventure--ate lots of food, rode lots of rides, and enjoyed the day. we left anaheim around 9:45 p.m. to drive down to san diego....let's just say that a near-death experience took place, but everything's okay. we arrived at stacy's place (mike's sister) at 12:30 a.m. took a nice, warm shower, and called it a night. sat 2/19: it was partly raining/partly cloudy. so, stacy, mike, lori, and i went down to mission bay for lunch (yay for da kine's!), and some browsing around. the boys played colorado in the morning, but we didn't wake up early enough to watch; they were planning to play at ucsd in the afternoon, so stacy took us around la jolla before driving up to the campus. unfortunately, when we arrived, the university closed the field, so the guys didn't play. we returned to the house for a bit before going out to dinner with tim (stacy's bf), and patti (stacy's colleague). we ate in old town at casa de pico. yummy mexican food! it was a nice, long dinner, and by the time we returned home, i was exhausted. passed out around 10:30 p.m. (i know, i'm such a bum). sun 2/20: hooray! the boys were playing more than one game today! we missed their first game against uw, but we picked up breakfast for ourselves and snacks for the team before going out to dusty rhodes park (it's near sea world). i got to video tape their games against chicago and chico state, and the weather was mostly cloudy. the boys went 2-2, and it was nice to watch some ultimate. after they were finished, we went back to stacy's, relaxed for a bit, before meeting joanna and kalani at souplantation for dinner. yay food! after dinner we tried to go bowling (45 minute wait), and instead, ended up at dave and buster's. stayed there until closing (midnight), and then went home. spoke with steve for a bit on the tellular cellaphone, and called it a night. i was tired. mon 2/21: lots of rain. no ultimate today. instead, we slept in, watched some tv, and tried to figure out where to go for lunch before returning to ontario. ended up at chili's. and it continued to rain. we left san diego around 2 to give us a lot of travel time, and arrived at redlands at 4. said goodbye to lori, and then headed towards ontario. took a roundabout, but quicker way, and ended up with time to kill. so, we went shopping at ontario mills. i bought a new pair of nike running shoes, and a new pair of gap jeans. then it was time to get to the airport. flights left on-time, and i totally fell asleep on both flights. hooray for california. tues 2/22: returned to boston at 6:30 a.m. met up with the boys, caught the t home, and did a few ultimate-related things before going to class. went to starbucks before class (thank goodness). ended up having only one class today (goo....because i returned to campus planning for class), so jac and i met up with steve, jasper, chris stroh, and drew for lunch at warren. yay food. ate lunch, lounged around, and then went to steve's place to watch part of the "above and beyond" dvd that jasper bought at the tournament. then i came back, filed my taxes, and am now finishing this blog. i plan to run tonight (blah), and then attempt to read (as i do have a take-home exam and an in-class exam on friday). i'll probably just do nothing because i'm pooped.
anywho, my vacation was fun. it was good to see lori because i think we finally made a connection this weekend. i know that we're both in college, but i'm three years removed from the situation she just left, and it was hard for me to have something in common with her, not to mention any of my siblings. but this weekend was good for the both of us, and i'm glad that she's my sister.
okay, i think i've spent enough time in front of this thing. i've got things to do tonight, so i should try to get started. more to come later; i promise.
hooray for my sister!
