senioritis

yes, it's back. it's official. mark this date: february 3, 2005. i don't want to do anymore work. i struggled to find topics for two stories for my two journalism classes, and i barely got out alive. i don't know if i'll make it through this semester. in the last two days, i've sent out about a dozen ultimate-related e-mails, did a bunch of ultimate-related errands on my day off, and managed to worry about ultimate all day until i watched president bush talk about social security reform during his state of the union tonight. and it's only thursday. thank goodness friday is only a day away. hooray.

what i've been up to in the past week:
fri 1/28: gym at 6. shower. class. lunch at home. oh, that's right....i went with lisa to meet with the manager of agganis arena to schedule the ultimate frisbee team to clean/fundraise. then home to chill out. until we went to clean agganis. all eight of us. that was fun. then we returned to stuvi for the fastest pregaming ever. we hopped in cabs and down to the roxy we went (thanks ed). danced for an hour and a half, had tons of fun, fell on my knees while attempting to get off one of those stripper dancer's stages, totally drunk but didn't puke, walked along boylston until we found empty cabs, came back to stuvi where lisa, suza, and i stayed up until 5:30 talking. that was an awesome night. yay pilots!
sat 1/29: slept in 'til 1. chatted with steve for a bit while we decided what we were going to do for the night. ended up doing a couple of errands (i think) before nightfall. tried to go to the bu hockey game, but it was sold out. caught the t to marty's, picked up a couple of six-packs (smithwicks and smuttynose old brown dog ale), came back to stuvi, ate a small dinner, had a beer (mine was frozen!), ate some ben and jerry's, watched "house of flying daggers", enjoyed sportscenter, and then called it a night. it was nice.
sun 1/30: slept in 'til noon-ish. made pancakes and portuguese sausage for brunch. watched tv, tried to read, watched more tv, and sort-of napped. marinated some mochiko chicken for a late-night dinner. played intramural basketball and lost (boo). came home, cooked mochiko chicken for the roomies (it was 'ono!), and watched a bit of tv. ended up chatting with steve and frank until 3:30 in the morning.
mon 1/31: took a two-hour nap (see above). went to the gym at 5:45 (yay for the early start). ate breakfast, watched sportscenter, and took a nap before class at 10. went to class, dozed off, then managed to stay awake in my second class (whew!). went to jac's for lunch (yay for leftover domino's) and hung out for a bit. came back to stuvi, did a few things, and then did some fundraising (semi-successful). left fundraising to go to track practice....i felt really good. came home, cooked the rest of the mochiko chicken for everyone, and had some chicken for myself. yum. unsuccessfully attempted to read, chatted online for a bit, then called it a night. wow, was i tired.
tues 2/1: yay february! no classes on tuesday, but i felt like i was running around like a head-less chicken. went to a really lame session of dreamweaver tutorial. went to the gsu to do a bunch of stuff for ultimate (thanks oocs!). came home for lunch and some down time before finishing the rest of my list of errands. almost finished my list of errands, and decided to do some window shopping. went with steve to copley to check out what's new at the gap and j. crew....nothing really there right now....kinda sad. returned to campus in time for dinner and the amazing race. really vegged out yesterday. wrote a million e-mails, dealt with not-so-smart people, and made another list of things to do for wednesday. geez. went to sleep around 1:30. that's good, right?
wed 2/2: went to the gym at 6 with lisa. good workout today. i'm feeling a lot better since starting three weeks ago. makes me happy. came home, harnessed my chi, ate breakfast, fell asleep on the couch watching sportscenter, woke up with enough time to shower and walk really fast to campus (i was still late), and managed to make it through another day of classes. dropped off my blouses at the dry cleaners (they were ironed for senior pics), came up with a public opinion story for multimedia (with an approval from my professor....yay!), and did a few more errands on campus before calling it a day. had dinner with steve and simon at west after they finished pt, came home, watched part of the cincinnati/louisville basketball game, counted jerseys (to discover that we're 15 short....stupid me), watched the state of the union (and came up with a story idea for enterprise....bush's push for social security reform), tried to read, watched the democratic response to the state of the union, and then attempted to do some reading. failed at that, so i decided to start recopying my notes. i write a lot in an hour. yikes. anywho, i got bored with that, so i hopped online, looked for articles related to bush's state of the union and articles related to the social security reform he spoke about. since i finished looking for what i wanted, i decided to blog.

and there it is. another crazy week, even though it seems to fly by once i get to wednesday. kinda scary. anywho, tomorrow's thursday, and i have another dreamweaver class (hopefully it's better than the last one), senior photos (i can't believe i'm a senior again), and one three-hour class (hooray enterprise....not!). then track practice at 8, picking up milk and some deli meats at shaw's, and back home for dinner and homework. goo.

i know there was something else i wanted to write about. but i think it's just the fact that i'm really not motivated to do anything right now. i've delegated ultimate stuff to next year's captains, but there's still a lot to do for the spring season. i also need to schedule interviews for my stories, go out and shoot these stories, and then write and edit these bad boys. fun times. i guess i should get some sleep so i can think straight tomorrow.

maturity is underrated.
