freezing

yups, i'm back in boston and it's so cold!!!! but i'm back and it's time to get this show on the road. home was awesome, and i'm really thankful for my family and friends who made it the best trip home since i left for college. there was a good mix of hanging out, going to concerts, getting some sun, relaxing, and visiting with friends that i think it'll be enough to hold me over until i see the hawai'i gang again.

anywho, tuesday was an uneventful day of sorts: i renewed my license, picked up shorts from riggers, got a flu shot (flumist), watched lori's canoe paddling race, packed up my stuff, ate dinner at rai rai ramen (yay for 'ono ramen!), and then my dad took me to the airport. it was sad leaving home knowing that i wouldn't see my friends and family for a while because those were the things i enjoyed about home. i'll miss the comfort of the friends at home because they were the ones i grew to trust over the six years we were together. but it's good to know that we're still there for each other even though we're apart.

i arrived safely in boston at 3:30 this afternoon. kris had some trouble with her car, so she didn't pick me up. not a problem though; i caught the t (which increased its price to $1.25) back to the apartment and unpacked my stuff. she met me here and we went to the bu hockey game to see if we could win $250. lots of luck involved with that and we were unsuccessful, so we went to sunset cantina for dinner. that was good stuff. then we came back to the apartment and talked about everything that happened over break....it was really nice to hear that everyone is doing well. steve met up with us here and we hung out and talked and listened to music.

kris left around midnight, and soon after, joanna called, so i talked with her for a half hour about everything that we haven't talked about in two months. it was a lot of fun, and i'm sad that we didnt't see each other over break. but her family moved to washington state last year (i think), so her new home is there. but i'm sure she'll visit hawai'i soon enough.

i didn't get to talk with steve tonight (which i wanted to do), but we'll have tomorrow night to talk. there's a lot on my mind that i want to share with him and i hope tomorrow night will be enough time to talk about everything. we'll see.

i better get some sleep now. work at 8:30.

it's good to be back.

-me : )
